Common Sense Education's Digital Citizenship Curriculum provides the tools needed to teach students how to participate safely, responsibly, and respectfully in today's digital world. The curriculum is research-based, modular, and standards-aligned (CCSS, NETS-S, and AASL). Topics covered include internet safety, cyberbullying, online privacy, and more.
The Teacher Edition includes 15 lesson plans, engaging student activities and videos, materials to share with parents/caregivers, and professional development resources such as research, Lesson in Action videos, reflective note-taking, and implementation tips. The accompanying Student Workbooks (available for download separately) include the student-facing materials of the lessons (e.g., videos and interactive unit assessments).
Used together, the Teacher Edition and Student Workbook provide students an engaging and enriching experience that will empower them to use technology for learning and life.
Updated for the 2016–2017 school year: The textbook includes exciting new digital citizenship content and videos, greater accessibility features for students, and a more secure QR code process for students to seamlessly turn in their work while employing the highest of privacy standards.
